Adron Fence Permit Process
- Sign our contract and pay your deposit. Cash, check, or credit card. (there will be a convenience fee).
- We will request a survey and HOA approval if required. Once received, we will send you our permit application pack. (Application, Drainage/Easement agreement, Notice of Commencement, etc.)
- The salesman will now mark your survey, and return it to me.
- At this point we will look over the survey and other documents to make sure we have everything in order to apply.
- If the proposed fence line will be in an easement, we will submit it to the required utility department(s) for approval. Depending on where you are located this can take 1-4 weeks to get approval.
- After approval, I will submit it to the county or city in which you are located. Depending on your municipality this can take from 1 to 4 weeks to get the permit approval.
- Once the permit has been approved and issued, we will order any materials that are needed for your job.
- Now we call in a line locate, PLEASE NOTE: Locators will come to your property and locate any underground line (gas, electric, cable, etc.) This is mandatory for the state of Florida and digging may only start 48 hours after this request has been made. They will mark lines with either flags or paint. PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE THESE MARKERS UNTIL AFTER THE INSTALLATION IS COMPLETE.
- You will receive a call from one of our friendly office personnel letting you know your install date. Install may take 1-2 days depending on the size of the job. Afterwards, you will notice a bag hanging on your fence, PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE UNTIL AFTER THE FINAL INSPECTION!! This is your permit packet, the inspector will need to see it.
- You will receive a phone call/email from us, informing you of the final inspection date. After the inspection you will receive another phone call/email informing you of the results of the inspection. Once it has passed inspection, you can now take down the permit packet and keep it for your records. At this point all due balances will be requested upon completion of installation.
- HOA APPROVAL: If you live in an HOA, it is the responsibility of the homeowner to obtain prior approval, on HOA’S letterhead. This is required by the building department, depending on your HOA, this could take a month for them to review and approve your request.
